ProfitFinder ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by NerdLabs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Shopify application.

1. Information We Collect

When you install ProfitFinder, we collect and process the following information:

• Store Information: Your Shopify store name, domain, email address, and currency settings.
• Order Data: Order details including products, prices, shipping costs, discounts, and fees to calculate your profit.
• Product Data: Product titles, prices, variants, and inventory levels.
• Customer Data: Limited customer information (email addresses) for order attribution purposes only.
• Analytics Data: Visitor sessions, page views, and UTM parameters for attribution tracking.
• Ad Platform Data: If you connect Facebook Ads or Google Ads, we access campaign names, ad spend, and performance metrics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Calculate your store's profit, revenue, and expenses
• Generate insights and recommendations about your products and performance
• Track which marketing channels drive sales (attribution)
• Send you daily email summaries (if enabled)
• Improve our application and develop new features
• Provide customer support

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Encryption at rest for sensitive data
• Regular security audits
• Limited employee access to customer data

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you have ProfitFinder installed. Detailed session data is retained for 30 days; aggregated analytics are retained for the lifetime of your account. Upon uninstallation, we delete your data within 30 days unless required by law to retain it.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate (hosting, email delivery), bound by confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. Third-Party Integrations

When you connect third-party services (Facebook Ads, Google Ads), their privacy policies also apply to the data they provide. We only access the minimum data necessary for attribution and ROAS calculations.

Our attribution pixel uses first-party cookies to track visitor sessions on your storefront. This data is used solely for order attribution and is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

ProfitFinder is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
